All our cakes are bespoke, made to order and are baked from scratch in our kitchen, using the finest, carefully selected ingredients. We take considerable care and attention to ensure that our cakes are always fresh, moist and tasty. The cakes are available in a wide variety of delicious flavours. Clients may give full input into their own designs or choose one from our portfolio, adapting colours, flowers and accessories according to personal preference or to complement any themes.

Consultations and cake tastings are mainly for wedding cake orders and are by appointment only. A £100 fee is required and this will need to be paid a week before your appointment. However, if you book us for your wedding cake, the fee is deducted from your overall cake cost. At the consultation you can see some of our designs and sample up to 15 of our cake flavours . Most importantly, we will discuss all the specific requirements for your day including cake detail, size and flavour. However, if you are unable to attend the meeting, and require only to sample our cakes, these can be mailed to you via UK recorded, next-day delivery. Please note there is a cost for this service.

Nuts are included in some of our cakes. Whilst other cakes do not contain nuts as an ingre­di­ent, we can­not guar­an­tee that the ingredients we use are not con­t­a­m­i­nated at source. Gluten Free: we are happy to make Gluten-free cakes as required Alcohol: our Fruit, Strawberry& Champagne, Baileys, Coffee and Coconut cakes are made with alcohol, but we can make the Fruit cake, Coffee and Coconut alco­hol-free, if required. Dairy-free: this option is also avail­able. Please call to dis­cuss your requirements.

We ask for 3 – 6 months’ notice when order­ing wed­ding and civil cer­e­mony cakes, and 2-3 weeks for other cel­e­bra­tions; how­ever, depend­ing on our sched­ule, we may be able to accept orders at shorter notice.

To confirm an order, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the balance or agreed amount is required. This will secure your requested date and cake order. The outstanding balance is due no later than two weeks before collection/delivery. If you wish to have alterations that affect the cost, after this date, the balance will be adjusted accordingly. Payments can be made by Cash, Bank Transfer or Cheque made payable to TY Couture Cakes.

A deliv­ery fee is quoted at the time of order and included in the over­all cost. Our cakes can also be col­lected from our base. Please note that If the cake is col­lected, the full respon­si­bil­ity for the safety of the cake is with the client and TY Cou­ture Cakes will not accept respon­si­bility for any dam­age to the cake that may occur after it has left our base. The pos­si­bil­ity also exists that we may be unable to deliver your cake due to adverse or freak weather con­di­tions such as snow or floods and these con­di­tions may also make your venue inac­ces­si­ble. We strongly rec­om­mend that you pur­chase wed­ding insur­ance to cover your­selves for this eventuality.

If your cake design requires fresh flow­ers, your florist can either sup­ply these or you can order from our in-house florist. We will liaise directly with the florist regard­ing the spe­cific flo­ral require­ments and the florist will dec­o­rate the cake with the flow­ers on site. NB: Please note, some flow­ers are not suit­able for use as cake dec­o­ra­tion. Ask your florist for details regard­ing tox­i­c­ity. We can­not be liable for any con­t­a­m­i­na­tion to our food prod­uct that may arise from their misuse.

The use of non-edible mate­ri­als for cake dec­o­ra­tion is increas­ingly pop­u­lar. Please note that acces­sories such as brooches, rib­bons, silk flow­ers, dia­mantes, beads, feath­ers, etc, that are used to dec­o­rate some of our cakes, are not edi­ble and must be removed from your cake before serv­ing. All of our dec­o­ra­tive gems and acces­sories are only used at the clients’ request and TY Cou­ture Cakes accepts no responsiblity for any phys­i­cal harm that may arise from their use.

We offer an option of equip­ment hire for our cakes such as custom made cake tables, cake stands, knife set and hanging cake structure – a hire fee and deposit is required. The deposit is held in your file until the hired equip­ment is returned within 3 days, and in its orig­i­nal condition.

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your order for any reason up to one month before the requested date, all other monies paid except the deposit will be refunded by cheque or Bacs transfer. If your order is cancelled less than two weeks from the requested date, you will receive no refund.
